Lara Croft age, birthday and height: why the answers differ

Compare Lara Croft profile details by game continuity instead of presenting one invented universal age or height.

Quick answer

February 14 is Lara Croft’s commonly published birthday, but her birth year and height vary by continuity and source. The Classic and Legend biographies use different dated backgrounds, while the Survivor games present a younger origin version without establishing one permanent age for every later appearance.

Birthday and birth years

February 14 is the birthday most consistently associated with Lara Croft, and official releases have repeatedly used that date. A birth year is less stable. The original biography commonly uses 1968, while Legend-era material uses 1977. The Survivor games restart Lara as a young graduate but do not supply a single permanent age that can be carried through every later adaptation.

Why Lara Croft’s height varies

Character models, biographies and promotional profiles have changed during three decades of games. Community references preserve several different measurements, but the current official Lara Croft profile does not establish one universal height across all continuities. A page that gives one number without naming its source and version hides that conflict.

Which answer should you use?

For a specific game, use the biography associated with that game’s era. For cosplay, model comparison or film discussion, name the production rather than treating an actor’s physical height as the fictional character’s official measurement. For current games, leave the value unknown unless Crystal Dynamics publishes a new profile.
