Dragon's Dogma 2 The Nameless Village walkthrough

Missable window: PowerPyx reports that Brant’s investigation becomes unavailable during Feast of Deception. Complete it before advancing that main quest. The route has not been replayed on Title Update 4.0.

Start the investigation with Brant

Complete Seat of the Sovran and at least one other objective Brant offers, then speak to him at The Stardrop Inn and choose “Tell me of the false Sovran.” The published route lists 1,200 XP, 7,500 G and Dragon’s Gaze as the completion reward. PowerPyx · Checked October 15, 2026.

Reach the village from the south

The marked destination is far east of Vernworth. PowerPyx reports that the obvious northern road is blocked by rubble early in the game, so approach through the southern Eastern Forest route. Prepare for an overland trip rather than treating the quest marker as a straight road.

Do the surface investigation

1. Enter the house on the north side of the first village path and take the Folded Letter.
2. Continue uphill to the Old Noble Manor.
3. Speak to the man inside and exhaust the dialogue, including the yellow-diamond option about brass.

These clues are useful evidence, but the visible manor conversation is not the whole investigation.

Find Nameless Village Depths

1. Leave the manor and look slightly northwest for the hidden cave entrance.
2. Enter Nameless Village Depths and clear the platform/obstacle section. Slow camera checks are safer than sprinting blind across tilting sections.
3. At the end, speak to the Thief Maister twice and select the yellow-diamond investigation dialogue.

PowerPyx reports that the surface and underground objectives provide two Thief abilities. Verify the actual scrolls/rewards in inventory before leaving; the source does not establish every failure-state recovery.

Report to Brant

Return to Vernworth, meet Brant at night and report about the false Sovran. Confirm the journal completion and reward before beginning Feast of Deception.
