Quick answer

SteamDB reported 35,424 people playing Enshrouded on Steam when rechecked October 23, 2026, with an 84,319 24-hour peak and a 160,405 all-time concurrent peak set January 28, 2024. The first two numbers change continuously. They measure simultaneous Steam players—not total owners, monthly active users, PS5 players, or all people who have ever played.

Concurrent players are not total players

A concurrent count is a snapshot of how many Steam users are running the game at the same time. It cannot tell you how many unique people played during a day or month, how many copies were sold, or how many owners are inactive. Ten people playing at different times can contribute to activity without ever appearing as ten concurrent users.

The 24-hour peak is useful for finding the busier part of one day. The all-time peak is a historical maximum, not the normal population and not a promise that current matchmaking will resemble launch week.

What the chart excludes

  • PS5 players: Steam telemetry covers the Steam app, not PlayStation activity.
  • Total owners or sales: SteamDB labels third-party owner figures as estimates; they are not the live player count.
  • Private server availability: concurrency does not show whether a specific region, passworded server, or friend group is active.
  • Cross-platform population: Enshrouded does not have PC-to-PS5 crossplay at launch, so the Steam number is not one combined pool.

Compare like periods

  1. Use the same metric on both dates—peak to peak or average to average.
  2. Account for time of day, weekday, patch launches, sales, and free promotional periods.
  3. Use at least several weeks for a retention claim; one live snapshot can move sharply within hours.
  4. Record the observation time and UTC convention. SteamDB states that times on its site are UTC.
