Quick answer

Use the official editor documentation for supported wallpaper types and project steps. The editor does not directly export a wallpaper as a video or GIF; the official FAQ describes screen recording as a workaround.

Choose an editor project

Begin with the official Scene editor overview and Start guide to choose a project type and follow current editor instructions. The product listing describes image, video, web and interactive wallpaper types; capabilities depend on the selected type.

Publish through Workshop

Use the editor's Workshop publishing flow and review current requirements and asset permissions. The 2.8.42 update changed public Workshop availability for Application wallpapers; see the version-specific summary.

Video and GIF export

The editor does not directly export a project as video or GIF. The official FAQ describes screen recording as a workaround. A recording captures rendered playback; it is not an editable project export.
