Gears of War: E-Day release date and unlock time
Confirm the October 2026 launch date, worldwide unlock time, pre-load timing and historical Premium early access.
Applies to: Worldwide 2026 launch schedule · times shown in UTC and Pacific Time
Quick answer
Gears of War: E-Day launched worldwide on October 6, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. Pacific / 15:00 UTC. Premium early access began October 1 at the same time, and pre-load began September 29. Those early-access and pre-load dates are now historical.
Official 2026 launch schedule
| Milestone | Pacific Time | UTC |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-load opened | September 29, 8:00 a.m. | September 29, 15:00 |
| Premium early access | October 1, 8:00 a.m. | October 1, 15:00 |
| Worldwide launch | October 6, 8:00 a.m. | October 6, 15:00 |
Xbox Wire published one simultaneous worldwide unlock. Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass access began at worldwide launch, not during Premium early access.
Convert the unlock time
Use 15:00 UTC on October 6, 2026 as the fixed reference. Daylight-saving rules differ, so a city-based converter is safer than assuming a permanent UTC offset.
What applies after launch?
E-Day is released. Pre-load and the five-day Premium window are historical milestones, not current bonuses. Cached launch pages may still say “pre-order”; check the live store before buying.
