Where can you play Octarina?
Octarina is listed as free to play on Steam for Windows. Steam calls it a physics-based 3D puzzle platformer about an octopus escaping a sushi factory. Use the official Steam product page to check availability in your region; Game Guide Port does not host a download.
The team’s older itch.io page still describes a beta as “in development.” It is useful for development history, but it does not replace the current Steam listing or establish that the two downloads have identical content.
What do you do in each mode?
The Steam description separates the escape storyline from two additional challenges. It does not identify a separate mode formally named “speedrun mode,” so that community wording should not be treated as a menu label.
Main storyline
Use the octopus’s ability to stick to surroundings and objects, climb, press buttons and throw items to open a route out of the factory.
Checkpoint Race
Navigate the factory and reach checkpoints within a time limit. This is the mode explicitly described as a timed checkpoint challenge.
The Floor is Lava
Find a route through the level without touching the lava. The store also invites players to try for a fast finish.

Steam does not list a native Mac or Linux edition on the checked product page. That is a statement about the listing, not proof that no future port will be announced.
