Quick answer

A first main-story run commonly takes about 23–25 hours, with exploration often pushing it toward 28–30 hours and completionist cleanup beyond 40 hours. Remastered adds modes and extras but does not replace the campaign with a longer story cut.

Campaign estimates

Player reports and time databases place a focused story run around 23–25 hours. A first run with regular exploration often reaches 28–30 hours, while broad collectible and trophy cleanup can exceed 40 hours.

What changes the total

Higher difficulty, stealth retries, optional Seattle exploration and reading artifacts all add time. The campaign alternates perspectives; reaching a major transition does not mean the credits are close.

What Remastered adds

No Return runs, Lost Levels, commentary and Guitar Free Play sit outside the normal campaign estimate. Remastered does not insert hours of new story into the main route.
