Legacy Kollection achievements: full roadmap
All 35 achievements grouped by difficulty, the hardest ones explained, and a sensible order to work through them.
Applies to: The 35 achievements in Legacy Kollection
Quick answer
The collection has 35 Steam achievements. The easiest, Finish Him!, asks for a single fatality and sits at 52.6% of players. The hardest are the spin-off completions and the Special Forces secret fight: All the Way Back Home is at 2.5% and Seismik, for defeating Tremor, is also at 2.5%. Three achievements are hidden on the list, First Konnection, Flawless Victories and Better Than One, so their descriptions are not shown until they unlock.

How the list breaks down
Legacy Kollection has 35 achievements, and they fall into four groups that are worth treating separately because they demand completely different things.
| Group | Count | What it asks of you |
|---|---|---|
| Finishing moves | 8 | Perform a specific type of finishing move in an arcade game. |
| Secret fights | 10 | Defeat a hidden opponent in a named version of a named game. |
| Completions | 15 | Finish a named game or version. |
| Boss and combined runs | 2 | Beat Shao Kahn in Trilogy, and beat Trilogy with two specific characters. |
The completion percentages below are the global Steam figures. They are the most useful single signal on this page, because they tell you what the average player found hard rather than what a guide claims is hard.

The easy ones
The top of the list is where the achievements are effectively free, and there is no reason to plan around them.
| Achievement | Requirement | Players |
|---|---|---|
| Finish Him! | Perform a Fatality in an arcade game | 52.6% |
| Flawless Victory | Get a Flawless Victory in any arcade game | 51.6% |
| Toasty! | Trigger the “Toasty!” call-out in an arcade game | 39.4% |
| Read the Room | Perform a Stage Fatality in an arcade game | 35.1% |
More than half of all owners have pulled off a Fatality, which makes it the least remarkable achievement in the set. Any part of the list above 30% tends to arrive on its own. The finishing-move types are covered in full on the fatalities page.
The hard ones
The bottom of the list is dominated by two titles, and that is the single most useful fact on this page: the spin-offs, not the famous games, are where a complete run gets held up.
| Achievement | Requirement | Players |
|---|---|---|
| Seismik | Defeat Tremor in MK: Special Forces | 2.5% |
| All the Way Back Home | Finish MK: Special Forces | 2.5% |
| Ice, Ice, Baby | Finish MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero | 3.5% |
| Cretaceous Konqueror | Defeat the T-Rex Rider in MK Mythologies | 3.5% |
| The Ninja Who Wasn’t There | Defeat Noob Saibot in Mortal Kombat 3 (arcade) | 3.9% |
| Clouded Judgement | Defeat Smoke in Mortal Kombat 3 (arcade) | 4.0% |
| Roasty Toasty | Defeat the Fire God in MK Mythologies | 4.0% |
MK Special Forces holds two of the three hardest. That is not because it is especially difficult; it is because it is the least played title in the collection and its completion achievement requires sitting through it. The same is true of Mythologies, which contributes two more to the bottom of the list.
Hidden achievements
Three achievements are hidden on the list. Steam does not show their descriptions until they unlock, which is why they are easy to mistake for missing entries.
| Achievement | Players |
|---|---|
| First Konnection | 19.4% |
| Flawless Victories | 8.9% |
| Better Than One | 5.4% |
Their completion figures are visible even though their descriptions are not, and that is enough to place them: First Konnection sits at the level of the early completions, while the other two are low enough to belong with the later goals.
A sensible order
The list is large but the sequence is not complicated, because the games overlap. Every achievement in the collection is attached to one of the eleven titles, so finishing a title tends to hand over several achievements at once.
- Play the arcade trilogy first. Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, Mortal Kombat 3 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 carry the largest share of the list between them, including most of the finishing-move achievements and six of the ten secret fights. You will also pick up the easy completions while doing it.
- Take the home ports as a second pass. The SNES, Genesis and 32X completions are separate achievements, and the games are similar enough that the skills carry over.
- Do the secret fights deliberately. These need specific conditions rather than time, so they are best done in a session of their own. The hidden characters page names the version for each.
- Leave Mythologies and Special Forces for last. They are the two most time-consuming titles and hold the hardest entries. There is no advantage to starting them early.
- Finish with Trilogy. The two boss-related achievements sit here, including the run that requires beating the game with both Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

If you would rather watch the documentary and profiles than grind a ladder, the collection includes them, and the contents page describes what is in the box. The AI and bosses page covers the difficulty settings that make the harder runs more manageable.

All achievement data is taken from the official Steam achievement list and cross-checked against the platform’s global percentages. Percentages are live figures and will drift upward over time, so the ranking of hardest and easiest is the durable part rather than the exact numbers. The grouped counts and the suggested order are this page’s own organisation of the official list.
