Quick answer

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is out now. KONAMI's official date is October 15, 2026, but the game unlocked worldwide at a single moment — 9:00 PM PT on October 14, 2026 — so the Steam and Xbox store listings show October 14 for players on the US West Coast. There is no early access: buying the Midnight Edition does not let you start before anyone else. Everything else about the launch is confirmed; only post-launch content (DLC, roadmap) is still unannounced.

At a glance

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is out now. KONAMI's official release date is October 15, 2026, and it went live on every platform at one moment: 9:00 PM PT on October 14, 2026. That single global unlock is the whole reason you will see "October 14" on some store pages and "October 15" almost everywhere else.

The official date

KONAMI's own product page lists the release date as 15-Oct-26, and the game's Nintendo page lists October 15, 2026. Pre-orders opened in June 2026, and when the game went live KONAMI marked the news item simply "Available Now" on October 15.

Why Steam and Xbox say October 14

The launch was not a rolling midnight release per country. It was a single global unlock at 9:00 PM Pacific Time on October 14. For anyone living west of the date line's evening, that moment still fell on October 14, so the Steam and Xbox store listings — which show a date in your own time zone — display October 14 rather than October 15.

RegionLocal dateLocal time

China / SingaporeOctober 1512:00 PM
Japan / South KoreaOctober 151:00 PM
Australia (AEDT)October 153:00 PM
Neither date is wrong. October 15, 2026 is the official release date; October 14 is the same instant expressed on the US West Coast. If a store page shows October 14 and a news article says October 15, they are describing one launch, not two.

Is there early access

No. There is no early access and no paid head start. The "Midnight Edition" is an upgraded version of the game with extra digital content and in-game items — a digital sound and art gallery, two alternate costumes and a relic — not a window to play before everyone else. Buying it does not let you in earlier than the Standard Edition.

What is not announced

  • Any post-launch content plan. KONAMI has spoken publicly about wanting to bring Castlevania titles out faster, but no dated roadmap, DLC list or season pass for this game has been published.
  • Any further platform. No additional platform has been announced beyond the five shipping today.

This page reports the launch and the official timeline rather than predicting what comes next, because nothing after launch has been dated.

Sources and review scope

The official date, the platforms and the "no early access" position come from KONAMI and the platform stores. The specific unlock time (9:00 PM PT, October 14) is KONAMI's stated unlock time as reported by outlets at launch rather than a line on the product page, so it is treated as reported, not quoted. Post-launch plans are not announced by anyone, and this page does not invent any. Checked on October 16, 2026.

How this guide was checked

Checked on October 16, 2026 against KONAMI's official game site (product, character, demo and known-issues pages), the Steam store listing and the public Steam Web API endpoints for this app, and the PlayStation Store and Nintendo listings. KONAMI's own statements and store data are kept separate from third-party guides, which are labelled where they are used. Live figures such as review totals and aggregate scores are timestamped snapshots that keep moving. Anything no source states is written as unconfirmed rather than guessed.

Not independently play-tested. This is not a claim that every platform or game version was tested. Source review: Oct 16, 2026.
