Dragon's Dogma 2 Jadeite Orb — real orb, forgery, and best outcomes

Branching-item warning: Everard inspects the copy he receives. If you want both reported reward branches, keep the real Orb for Everard and give the forgery to Offulve. Costs and rewards below come from a March 2024 walkthrough and have not been replayed in the 2026 build.

Meet both claimants

After Seat of the Sovran, Offulve approaches when you enter Checkpoint Rest Town and starts the quest. Everard, also in town, asks for the same Orb. The optional Vernworth Gaol clue costs a reported 500 G, but PowerPyx says you can go straight to Ibrahim’s Scrap Store. PowerPyx · Checked October 15, 2026.

Buy the real Jadeite Orb

Ibrahim sells the real Orb for the walkthrough-reported 7,500 G. Before handing it over, inspect the inventory name and commission a forgery if you want two outcomes.

Commission and identify the forgery

1. Ask Ibrahim to make a forgery of the Jadeite Orb.
2. Pay the reported 2,000 G fee.
3. Wait two in-game days, then collect it.
4. Keep track of which inventory entry is authentic before speaking to either claimant.

Outcome comparison

For both reported successful rewards: forgery → Offulve; real Orb → Everard.

Avoid an irreversible hand-in

• Do not give away the only real Orb before commissioning the forgery.
• Do not rely on a similar icon; read the item name.
• Make a current save-state check before talking to Everard.
• If the item is already lost, check Ibrahim’s special stock, but no guaranteed recovery for every branch was established.
