Dressmaker changed under its players, and most guides did not follow.
Cozy Lives released Dressmaker on September 21, 2026, and shipped a large controls and interface patch on October 14. The zoom, the trim placement and the way pins display all work differently from what was documented a month earlier — including on several of the pages currently ranking for these questions. These pages quote the developer's own patch notes rather than repeating each other, label player reports as player reports, and say plainly where the developer has published nothing at all.
Game Guide Port is an independent guide site, not affiliated with Cozy Lives or Free Lives. Every source on this page was checked on October 19, 2026.
Start with your question
Commissions & fixes
Why won't the dress submit?
Five things to check in order, what Build 443 changed about the red pins, and the two different buttons both called the finish button.
03 / QUALITYWhy is my quality score stuck?
Three numbers get called quality and only one is explained. The official achievement asks for 100%, and 78% of players already have it.
04 / TRIMWhy won't the trim sit where I put it?
Nine fixes in Build 443, the baked-in tilt behind the worst cases, and the developer's own admission about cuffs.
Commissions & economy
What are off-the-rack dresses for?
No client, sold from the shop, money on the button. Five official lines, then the gaps nobody has filled.
06 / MONEYHow much does selling actually pay?
Two income lines, three coin figures on screen and no published formula, whatever the tables elsewhere say.
Before you buy
What does it cost, and is there a demo?
$14.99 with regional pricing. No demo, and the free itch build is a prototype rather than a trial of the game.
08 / PLATFORMSSwitch, Deck, PS5 — what actually exists?
Windows and macOS now; Switch and mobile planned with no date; PS5 and Xbox never mentioned by anyone involved.
09 / LANGUAGESWhich languages are supported?
Three, all complete: interface, full audio and subtitles. No fourth language announced, and no official answer to the requests.
Story & characters
Who are the characters?
Ten named clients, and the achievement list is the only place any of them is named. Plus the one client with a published face.
11 / LENGTHHow long is it, and does the story end?
About 35 hours of story commissions, by the developer's own pre-launch estimate. No chapter count, and no New Game+.
Every page states which build it applies to and the date its sources were read. Patch notes are quoted rather than summarised where the wording matters, because the wording is usually the evidence. Player reports are labelled as player reports and are never used to fill a gap the developer left open — where something is unknown, the page says unknown. If a number is not in an official source, it does not appear on these pages.

DressmakerDressmaker Off-the-Rack Dresses: Unlock, Sizing and Gifting
Off-rack dresses have no client attached, and the developer has documented almost none of it. The five official lines, what measurements change, and what nobody has answered.
DressmakerDressmaker Money: What Selling Actually Pays and What Is Not Published
Two income lines, three visible coin figures and no published formula. What the developer has written about money, what players report about burlap, and why no multiplier table survives checking.

DressmakerDressmaker Price and Demo: $14.99, No Demo, and What the itch Build Is
Dressmaker costs $14.99 with regional pricing and has no demo. The free build on itch.io is a prototype the developer hosts separately from the game on sale, not a trial of it.
DressmakerDressmaker Languages: English, Simplified Chinese and Japanese Only
Dressmaker ships in three languages, each with interface, full audio and subtitles. No fourth language is announced, and the Portuguese and Spanish requests have no official answer.
