AION 2 Crashes or Won’t Launch: Official NCGuard and Steam Checks

First five checks

1. Photograph or copy the exact popup, number and time.
2. Check official announcements for maintenance.
3. Restart Steam or PURPLE and the PC once.
4. Verify the game files through the launcher.
5. Close likely conflicting programs one category at a time, then retest.

Avoid deleting logs or reinstalling Windows before preserving the error. The code is more useful to Support than “it crashes.”

NCGuard conflicts

NC's official checklist identifies categories that may conflict with NCGuard:

• remote-work or remote-control software;
• other launchers, games or anti-cheat services still running;
• mouse, keyboard, RGB or peripheral-control utilities;
• hardware monitoring, overlay or tuning programs;
• related background processes that remain after closing a window.

Exit software normally and test. Do not permanently remove security tools or weaken Windows protections merely because a forum post says to do so.

Steam error 1138:100134

For this exact error, NC Support's published first step is to close Steam and run it as administrator. Apply that only to the official Steam executable. If the same code remains, stop repeating the launch and prepare a support request.
