Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator, presets, and appearance changes
Use the free Creator & Storage tool, capture reproducible slider formulas and edit an existing Arisen or Main Pawn with known limits.
Applies to: Official standalone creator, base-game editing and Dark Arisen cosmetic additions
Quick answer
Capcom’s free Character Creator & Storage stores up to five Arisen and five Main Pawn designs and transfers character data to the separately sold base game. Dark Arisen adds hairstyles and tattoos. For an existing run, barberie services handle limited edits, while Art of Metamorphosis opens broader appearance editing. Capture the base head/body and every slider before confirming; a face screenshot alone is not a reproducible preset.

Direct answer: Capcom’s free Character Creator & Storage lets you create and store up to five Arisen and five Main Pawn designs, then transfer selected character data into the separately sold game. Dark Arisen adds hairstyles and tattoos to the creator. In an existing run, use barberie services for limited edits or Art of Metamorphosis for the broader editor; race and naming restrictions require care.
Standalone Creator & Storage
Those limits and transfer support come from Capcom’s Steam listing. The reviewed store page does not promise cross-platform transfer or indefinite re-import into an already-started save.
A reproducible preset workflow
- Choose a base head/body and finish race, body, face, hair, markings, voice and Pawn inclination.
- Before confirming, capture every slider page in order. Include the base-head choice because numeric sliders alone may not reproduce the face.
- Name the preset with tool version, race, body type and date.
- Keep neutral-light front, profile and three-quarter screenshots for comparison.
- In the base game, verify the chosen Arisen and Main Pawn before accepting the import.
A screenshot of a face is inspiration, not a reproducible “preset.” A usable shared formula needs the base choices and every changed parameter.
Edit an existing Arisen or Main Pawn
| Method | Use | Evidence / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Barberie menu | Hair, makeup and markings | Guide-documented service; exact menu prices may change. |
| Art of Metamorphosis | Broader appearance editor for Arisen or Main Pawn | Game8 reports 500 RC from Pawn Guild vendors and stock increased to 99 in update 1.05. |
| New Game / NG+ | Start-over identity decisions | Protect the current save before replacing a run. |
Game8 reports that Human/Beastren race cannot be changed later and that a Main Pawn’s name cannot be changed through the appearance editor. Treat these as guide-tested rules, not Capcom manual quotations.
What Dark Arisen adds
Capcom’s current Steam product description says the expansion adds new hairstyles and tattoos. It does not describe a separate new creator app or publish a count for those options on the reviewed page.
Appearance choices that can affect play
Published guides report that height and weight affect physical characteristics such as carrying capacity, mobility and stamina behavior. Do not copy a cosmetic formula blindly if its body scale conflicts with the build you want. Exact formulas and thresholds need current in-game measurement.
