Quick answer

Belmont's Curse is on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam (PC) and Nintendo Switch. There is no separate Switch 2 version — you play the Switch game on a Switch 2 through backward compatibility, and Nintendo lists it as Supported. KONAMI's stated frame rate is 60 fps, with the Switch version at 30 fps; the widely reported 60 fps on Switch 2 has not been confirmed by KONAMI. It is not on Xbox Game Pass: Microsoft said so directly, and it is a paid purchase everywhere.

At a glance

Belmont's Curse launched on five platforms at once, and the single most-asked question — "is there a Switch 2 version?" — has a specific answer: no, but the Switch version runs on a Switch 2.

The platforms

All five versions are the same game: same story, same editions, same bonuses. What differs is how it runs and how big it is on disk. On Xbox, the title is Xbox Play Anywhere, so one digital purchase covers both the console and Xbox on PC with compatible saves — that is a buying convenience, not a subscription.

Switch 2: what you actually get

There is no Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and no paid upgrade. What ships is the Nintendo Switch game, and Nintendo lists it as supported on Switch 2 through backward compatibility. That means your Switch 2 is running the Switch build.

The frame rate question is where sources part company. KONAMI's spec sheet states 60 fps with the Nintendo Switch version at 30 fps. Multiple outlets reported that the game runs at 60 fps on a Switch 2, and Nintendo's own compatibility label notes that a supported game's behaviour "is consistent with Nintendo Switch". KONAMI has not published a Switch 2 frame rate, so the 60 fps figure is reported, not confirmed.

Frame rate and storage

Stated frame rate and minimum storage from KONAMI
VersionFrame rateStorage (Standard)Storage (Midnight)
PS5 / Xbox / PC60 fps8 GB10 GB
Nintendo Switch / Switch 230 fps (Switch)4 GB6 GB

Those are KONAMI's figures. The Nintendo listing shows a smaller Switch download size, which reflects platform packaging rather than a different game.

Steam Deck

At the time of this check Valve had not given the game a Steam Deck compatibility rating, and early players reported stutter and low frame rates on the handheld. There is no official Deck status to point at, so treat Deck as unproven rather than verified — the free demo is the cheapest way to test it on your own device.

Game Pass and other subscriptions

Belmont's Curse is not on Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass. Microsoft's own Game Pass account addressed the rumour directly and said there was no Game Pass news for the title, after a promotional roundup briefly suggested otherwise. It is not on PlayStation Plus or Nintendo Switch Online either; it is a paid purchase on every platform.

Play Anywhere is not Game Pass. Xbox Play Anywhere lets one purchase cover console and PC. It has nothing to do with a subscription catalogue, and buying the game is still required.

What is not confirmed

  • A Switch 2 frame rate from KONAMI. Reported at 60 fps by outlets; not stated by the publisher.
  • A Steam Deck rating. Not assigned at the time of this check.
  • Any Switch-specific optimisation patch. None announced.

Sources and review scope

Platforms, frame rate and storage are KONAMI's own figures. The Switch 2 60 fps figure comes from outlet testing and is labelled as reported. The Game Pass position comes from Microsoft's own Game Pass account. Steam Deck is marked unproven because no official rating exists. Checked on October 16, 2026.

How this guide was checked

Checked on October 16, 2026 against KONAMI's official game site (product, character, demo and known-issues pages), the Steam store listing and the public Steam Web API endpoints for this app, and the PlayStation Store and Nintendo listings. KONAMI's own statements and store data are kept separate from third-party guides, which are labelled where they are used. Live figures such as review totals and aggregate scores are timestamped snapshots that keep moving. Anything no source states is written as unconfirmed rather than guessed.

Not independently play-tested. This is not a claim that every platform or game version was tested. Source review: Oct 16, 2026.
