Quick answer

Xbox lists E-Day with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. An eligible Xbox digital purchase is Xbox Play Anywhere, so it can be played on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC with shared progress and achievements. A Steam purchase is a separate license.

Which Game Pass plans include E-Day?

The current Xbox FAQ names Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Subscription names, regional availability and online-console benefits can change, so confirm the live offer shown for your account.

What does Xbox Play Anywhere provide?

An eligible Xbox digital purchase can be played on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. Xbox says progress and achievements travel between those versions when you use the same Microsoft account.

Does Steam count as Play Anywhere?

No. Steam is a separate storefront license. Steam lists optional account linking for roaming saves, connected friends and cross-platform invitations, but that does not create an Xbox entitlement. See the crossplay guide for the distinction.
