Star Wars: Galactic Racer crossplay and party size
Check cross-platform multiplayer, the currently documented party limit and how to verify future changes.
Applies to: PC and console online multiplayer
Quick answer
Crossplay between PC and consoles is enabled by default and can be turned off. The developer FAQ currently lists parties of up to three players; a planned increase to six is not a live feature until confirmed by patch notes.

Can PC and console players race together?
Yes. The developer says online multiplayer supports crossplay between PC and consoles. It is on by default, and players can turn it off. If a friend on another platform is missing from your matchmaking pool, check the crossplay setting on each device before troubleshooting a party invitation.
How many people can join a party?
The developer FAQ reviewed October 11, 2026 lists up to three players in a party. It also describes a planned increase to six in a future update. A plan is not the same as a live patch: consult the current official patch notes before arranging a larger group.
Party size and total race size are different. A three-person party can enter a mode whose race accommodates more participants.
Why might our party wait for a match?
According to the FAQ, the game first tries to place racers in an existing event with space. When it needs to create a new Tour or Quick Race, a two-person party needs a third distinct player outside that party searching before it starts. The game can widen matching beyond your region if it finds no local players. These rules explain some waiting, but do not diagnose every connection or invitation issue.
