ACE COMBAT 8 Achievements: 55 Entries and Completion Rates
ACE COMBAT 8's published achievement list: 55 entries with global completion rates checked October 15, 2026, the rarest ones, and what they reveal.
Applies to: All 55 published ACE COMBAT 8 achievement entries with their global completion rates, a snapshot taken from Steam's own achievement data on October 15, 2026
Quick answer
ACE COMBAT 8 ships with 55 achievements, and Steam's achievement page publishes all 55 names with a global completion rate for each: 94.8% for the first entry down to 1.7% for the rarest, a snapshot taken on October 15, 2026 that keeps moving. Only 22 of the 55 carry a published description — the remaining 33 are hidden, so their requirements are not stated anywhere official and are not guessed at here. The conditions that are published confirm a 30-mission campaign with two separate mission-25 completion records, ACE difficulty, the Aircraft Tree, MRP milestones at 16,000,000 and 25,000,000, ten medals and the full assault record set.

At a glance
ACE COMBAT 8 ships with 55 achievements, and the game's Steam achievement page publishes all 55 names together with a global completion rate for each. The rates run from 94.8% for the first entry to 1.7% for the rarest, and every figure here is a snapshot of October 15, 2026 that moves as more players earn them.
One caveat shapes the whole page: the publisher has written a description for 22 of the 55 entries. The other 33 are hidden, published with a name and a rate but no description. So this page can tell you what each achievement is called and how many players have it, and can only tell you what it requires where a description exists.
How to read this list
Two sources were used, and they agree. The Steam achievement page carries the display names, the descriptions and the completion rates; the Steam achievement-percentage API returns the internal identifiers and the same rates. Checked on October 15, 2026, the two lists returned identical rates in identical order, which is the cross-check that lets the entries be matched up safely.
- Names are display names. The game also uses internal identifiers that never appear to players. Where this page quotes an internal identifier, it says so.
- Rates are global shares — the proportion of all players who own the game and have earned that achievement, not a difficulty rating.
- An em dash means no description is published. Those entries are the game's hidden achievements.
- One tie exists. Three entries share 48.3%, so their order within that group is not meaningful, and no internal identifier is matched to a name inside that group here.
All 55 published entries
The table follows the order the achievement page itself uses, highest completion first, so the shape of the list is visible as you read down it. Rates are the October 15, 2026 snapshot.

The rarest entries
Six entries sit below 6%, and between them they describe the whole long tail of the game.
- Ace of Aces, 1.7% — the rarest entry, with no published description. Its internal identifier ends in a suffix that follows the ACE campaign clear, which is where the common reading of a full S-rank run comes from, but the publisher has not written that condition out.
- A Record of Rivalry, 2.0% — "Obtained all assault records." The second-rarest, and the only official statement that assault records form a complete set to be collected.
- The Ace, 2.5% — "Completed campaign mode on ACE difficulty."
- Patron of the Parts, 3.8% — "Obtained all aircraft, special weapons, and upgrade parts in campaign mode." This is the single largest ownership condition in the game.
- MRP Aplenty, 4.2% and Need A Bigger Bank, 5.1% — 25,000,000 and 16,000,000 MRP obtained in total.
Those six are worth reading as one group rather than as six separate grinds: three of them are ownership conditions and two are cumulative-currency conditions, which is the shape of the post-campaign loop. The endgame page covers what that loop involves.
What the list confirms about the game
Because the conditions are written by the developer, the list doubles as a feature record. These are the systems it names outright.
| System | Where the list names it |
|---|---|
| The campaign's mission count | The percentage API returns 30 numbered campaign-completion entries, one for each mission from 001 to 030, plus a separate all-missions entry. |
| A second path through mission 25 | The API returns two mission-25 entries, and the published list contains two entries whose rates match them exactly and uniquely: Securing a Beachhead at 54.3% and Freeing Usea at 53.1%. Two records for one mission number is the published evidence that it resolves more than one way. What differs is not stated by the publisher. |
| ACE difficulty | "Completed campaign mode on ACE difficulty." |
| The Aircraft Tree | "Purchased the same aircraft for wingmen in the Aircraft Tree in campaign mode." The tree is named, and so is the fact that wingman aircraft are bought there. |
| Special weapons and upgrade parts | Conditions at 15 and at 100 combined special weapons and parts, and one for owning all of them. |
| Medals | "Obtained 10 medals." |
| Assault records | "Obtained all assault records." |
| Wingman commands | Forward Atk, Dispersed Atk and Cover are named in a single condition. |
| Takeoffs and aerial refuelling | "Completed campaign mode and successfully completed all takeoffs, aerial refuelings." |
| Training mode | "Cleared one mission in training mode." |
| Replay and aircraft viewers | One condition each, for watching a replay and previewing an aircraft. |
| Post-stall manoeuvres | "Successfully made a post-stall maneuver in campaign mode." |
Mission numbering is covered in more detail on the missions and length page.
Where players drop off
The campaign-progression entries form an unusually clean curve, because each one is a gate that a player either passes or does not.
- The first campaign entry stands at 94.8%. Roughly one player in twenty never records a first mission completion.
- Past the halfway point the figures have fallen into the sixties: the eleventh campaign entry stands at 68.5% and the seventeenth at 62.5%.
- The lowest campaign-progression figure is 48.3% — fewer than half of all owners reach the end, and the same 48.3% is shared by the all-missions entry and by the takeoff-and-refuelling condition.
Read together, the curve says the single biggest filter in the game is finishing it at all, not any optional challenge. Everything below 30% is a deliberate detour rather than part of the normal route through the campaign.
What the list does not tell you
- 33 conditions. More than half the list is hidden: a name and a rate, no description. Nothing on this page guesses at what those require, including the rarest entry of all.
- A PlayStation trophy comparison. This page covers the Steam list only. Whether the PlayStation 5 trophy set matches these 55 entries, and whether it includes a platinum trophy, was not established by the sources checked here.
- Adjusted or rarity-weighted scores. Steam publishes a flat global percentage. It is not a difficulty ranking, and the figures are affected by how many people own the game without playing it, which is why the first entry is not at 100%.
- Fixed values. Every rate on this page is a snapshot taken on October 15, 2026 and will keep moving for the life of the game.
Sources and review scope
- Steam achievement page — ACE COMBAT 8 — source for all 55 display names, the 22 published descriptions quoted above, the order of the list, and the completion rates. Snapshot taken October 15, 2026.
- Steam Web API — global achievement percentages — source for the 55 internal identifiers and the completion rates used to cross-check the page, and the basis for the statements about 30 mission entries and the two mission-25 entries.
- Steam store API — ACE COMBAT 8 app details — source for the published achievement total of 55.
- Bandai Namco Entertainment — ACE COMBAT 8 walkthrough page — used only to confirm the MRP and aircraft-parts systems that the achievement conditions refer to.
Every name, description and percentage on this page is quoted from the game's own published achievement data rather than reconstructed, and both official sources agreed on all 55 rates on the day of the check. Percentages are a dated snapshot and are not treated as fixed. Where a description is not published, the page shows an em dash and says so rather than filling the gap from a guide site. The correspondence between the two mission-25 identifiers and the two mission-25 names is derived from unique matching rates and is explained in the text; the publisher does not describe it. The PlayStation trophy set was not checked and is not described. Reviewed October 15, 2026.
Checked on October 15, 2026 against the Steam store listing and the Steam Web API app-details endpoint for ACE COMBAT 8, the publisher's own Steam announcements, and the Steam achievements API. Requirement figures, the DRM notice and the difficulty descriptions are quoted from official sources rather than paraphrased. Where a detail comes from a third-party wiki or from a player post rather than from Bandai Namco Entertainment, it is labelled as exactly that. Anything the publisher has not stated is written as unconfirmed rather than guessed.
