Rust Wipe Schedule: PC Force Wipes, Console Times, and BP Wipes
Separate official PC update timing from a server’s map wipe, explain console wipe times, and show where to verify the exact next wipe.
Applies to: PC Rust official update cadence and Console Edition published schedule
Quick answer
There is no single wipe time for every Rust server. Facepunch’s PC server-wipe timer describes common weekly or monthly defaults, but community servers may configure a different schedule. Console Edition’s publisher currently lists weekly wipes on Thursday at 18:00 UTC and monthly wipes on the last Thursday at 18:00 UTC. Always verify the exact server and whether the notice means map or blueprint wipe.

PC Rust: update and wipe timing
Facepunch publishes monthly game updates on the first Thursday, but that date does not force every community server to wipe. The official server-wipe timer documents common weekly, biweekly, and monthly patterns and configurable server wipe settings. A server can therefore wipe on a different day or at a different local time from the game update.
| PC schedule concept | What it means | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Facepunch monthly update | Regular game update cadence, commonly first Thursday | Current Facepunch announcement for that month’s patch time |
| Server map wipe | That server resets its map/world according to its configured policy | Exact server listing, Discord, or in-game notice |
| Blueprint (BP) wipe | That server also resets learned blueprints | Whether the server explicitly says BP wipe; it is not implied by every map wipe |
Console Edition published times
Double Eleven’s Rust Console Edition FAQ currently lists weekly wipes on Thursday at 18:00 UTC and monthly wipes on the last Thursday of the month at 18:00 UTC. Those are Console Edition published times; do not apply them to PC Rust servers. Convert UTC to your local timezone carefully, including daylight-saving changes.
Map wipe vs blueprint wipe
- Map wipe: resets the server’s world/map and player-built progress according to that server’s wipe policy.
- BP wipe: resets learned blueprints as well. Some servers do both; others retain blueprints.
- Forced update: the client/server update cycle is not by itself proof that every server has wiped its blueprints.
Server operators can choose different policies. Read the named server’s announcement instead of relying on a generic wipe calendar.
Check your exact server
- Identify the exact server name, platform, region, and whether it is official or community-run.
- Check the server’s own listing, website, or Discord announcement for date, timezone, and wipe type.
- Confirm whether the time is UTC, server-local, or your local time; convert only after identifying the source timezone.
- Recheck near the event. A maintenance delay or server-specific change can move the actual wipe.
This page intentionally does not hardcode a “next wipe” date: the answer depends on the selected server and can change after publication.
