Legacy Kollection editions compared: which to buy
Standard, Deluxe and Kollector's Edition side by side, plus the Switch 2 pricing and platform details that change the answer.
Applies to: Physical and digital editions as announced in 2025
Quick answer
There are three physical editions. Digital Eclipse and Atari announced Standard at US$49.99, Deluxe at US$69.99 and Kollector's Edition at US$149.99. Switch 2 is priced higher, at US$59.99 and US$79.99 for Standard and Deluxe. Deluxe adds a steelbook, mini marquees, a lenticular card, a poster and arcade flyers; Kollector's Edition adds a Goro controller-holder statue, an art and lore book and a numbered box. Physical copies released on December 12, 2025 and were not produced for PS4 or Xbox One.

The three editions
Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection was sold in three editions. Two of them are physical, and all three were announced together by Digital Eclipse and Atari ahead of the physical release on December 12, 2025.
| Edition | Price | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | US$49.99 | Digital and physical |
| Deluxe | US$69.99 | Physical |
| Kollector’s Edition | US$149.99 | Physical |
The digital version on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox is the Standard edition at the same US$49.99, and it is discounted regularly.
What is in each
All three editions contain the same game. Everything above the Standard price is physical merchandise, which is the point most buyers want confirmed before spending the extra:
| Item | Standard | Deluxe | Kollector’s |
|---|---|---|---|
| Game disc or card | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Steelbook | — | Yes | Yes |
| Mini arcade marquees | — | Yes | Yes |
| Lenticular card | — | Yes | Yes |
| Poster | — | Yes | Yes |
| Arcade flyer reproductions | — | Yes | Yes |
| Goro controller-holder statue | — | — | Yes |
| Art and lore book | — | — | Yes |
| Numbered collector’s box | — | — | Yes |

If you only want to play the games, the Standard edition and the digital release are identical in content. The Deluxe and Kollector’s tiers buy packaging and collectibles, not extra modes or characters.
Switch 2 pricing
Nintendo’s newer console was priced higher than every other platform for the same editions:
| Edition | Other platforms | Switch 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | US$49.99 | US$59.99 |
| Deluxe | US$69.99 | US$79.99 |
That difference is worth checking before you buy, because search listings for the game do not always make clear which Switch generation a price refers to. Note as well that online play has a platform-specific limit on the older console: the PlayStation version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy does not support online Krossplay on the original Switch, which Digital Eclipse attributes to a technical constraint. The Switch 2 edition is not affected by that particular limit.
Which platforms
The game is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Before choosing a platform, the online play page is the one to read if you intend to fight other people, and the PC page covers the Steam version specifically.

The edition prices come from the joint Digital Eclipse and Atari announcement for the physical release and were reproduced consistently across the retail listings that carried it.
