Quick answer

If you are stuck in Octarina, identify the room first: use gas canisters and machinery to open the factory route, follow the numbered-door clue rather than guessing, and in the final restaurant area break the bathroom fixtures to release water before climbing toward the exit. The official Steam page confirms the escape objective and interaction types; the room-by-room sequence comes from player reports and has not been independently tested on the current build.

Short answer: work forward by opening a physical route in each room. In the factory, player reports point to movable gas canisters, machinery and the upper ramp; at the numbered door they report the order 3 → 1 → 2 → 4; in the final restaurant area, break the bathroom fixtures to release water, then use the higher route to escape. These are player-reported steps, not an official walkthrough, and the current Steam build was not independently played for this page.

The Steam description confirms the broad rules: Octarina sticks to surfaces and objects, climbs, pushes buttons and throws items to open new paths. It does not publish the room sequence or puzzle solutions.

Open the factory route

  1. Locate movable gas canisters near the production line. A community achievement guide describes throwing the canisters at the machines, including the mechanical arms by the chopping area.
  2. Hit the machinery rather than clearing every loose prop. Desks, plates and other objects can be broken, but the sources checked do not establish that general destruction is required for story progress.
  3. Watch above the line after the machines are damaged. The community guide reports that part of the upper structure falls and creates a shortcut. A later player route likewise points toward using the machinery and ramp to continue.
  4. Use the octopus's wall grip to take the opened upper route. If nothing changed, check whether the canister struck the machine or mechanical arm rather than a nearby prop.

Use the numbered door

A detailed 2024 player route reports a four-input door sequence of 3 → 1 → 2 → 4. No official page publishes this code, and the present build was not tested here, so use it as a version-labelled checkpoint rather than a universal guarantee.

  1. Reset the panel or reload the nearby checkpoint if earlier guesses may still be registered.
  2. Press 3, then 1, then 2, then 4, once each.
  3. After the door reacts, follow the route toward the restaurant rather than returning to optional breakable objects.

If the panel does not react, first confirm that you are at the four-number story door—not a challenge-mode checkpoint—and then try again from a clean checkpoint. There is not enough evidence to publish a different fallback code.

Solve the final liquid puzzle

The final prompt has caused a specific player question: what counts as “liquid”? The answer reported in the dedicated discussion and repeated in a later route post is water from the restaurant bathroom.

  1. Enter the bathroom or washroom attached to the restaurant area.
  2. Break the toilets or other breakable bathroom fixtures. The reported purpose is to let water flow into the surrounding area.
  3. Return to the larger restaurant space and wait for the water state to change before judging the puzzle unsuccessful.
  4. Use floating objects, walls or the newly reachable high route to keep moving upward and toward the exit.

The sources agree on releasing water, but they do not provide an official object-by-object trigger list. This page therefore does not claim that a specific number of toilets, one exact floating object or a timed jump is mandatory.

Recover when progress stops

The machine did not open a route

Bring another canister closer and aim at the machine or arm. If the room has already been heavily disturbed, reload the last checkpoint before assuming a required object has vanished.

The numbered door stays closed

Restart from a clean panel state and retry 3 → 1 → 2 → 4. Do not mix this story door with Checkpoint Race or The Floor is Lava objectives.

The bathroom is broken but nothing changes

Check the larger room for water and a higher route. If the state has not changed, reload the checkpoint; no verified alternate liquid source was found.

You skipped part of the route

A player has reported becoming stuck after bypassing progression. Use the last checkpoint instead of treating a skip as a supported shortcut; the report does not establish a universal fix.

For optional unlocks, use the Octarina achievement status guide. The sushi-location checklist maps the 28 pickups that can be recovered from the public player route and explains why its separate 31-piece claim remains unverified.
