Gears of War: E-Day collectibles and War Journal tracking

What counts toward 100% campaign progress?

The official achievement list treats standard collectibles, Hard Cases and secondary objectives as separate goals. A collectible checklist should not silently include cases or optional missions as if they were the same item type. If you are looking for physical item locations, start with the Act 1 standard collectibles route; that page is not a Hard Case guide.

How should you check your progress?

Use the in-game War Journal's act and chapter detail to narrow down what appears missing, then compare the relevant item category with a route for that act. Before replaying a long chapter, check both the summary count and detailed entries. Record a screenshot of any mismatch so the support team can see the difference.

What if the summary and detail disagree?

Some players report that their summary count is lower than the detailed list, or that progress changes after co-op or chapter replay. Those reports show a possible tracking issue; they do not prove that your missing item is a bug. The October 5 patch explicitly addresses several co-op War Journal progress issues, but does not claim to resolve every mismatch. First confirm your game is updated, then document the platform, affected act, category and entries before contacting official support. Do not delete local or cloud saves as a speculative fix.
