Release platforms

Square Enix announced FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Xbox on PC. Store availability and editions can differ by territory, so use the local platform store to confirm the version offered for your account.

Demo save carry-over

Square Enix says demo save data can carry over to the full game. PlayStation’s announcement also confirms carry-over for the PS5 demo. This is a statement about continuing demo progress in the full release; it does not establish that saves move between different consoles or storefront accounts.

Before starting the demo, use the same platform and account where you plan to continue whenever possible. This is a practical precaution, not a claim that all other save transfers are impossible.

Nintendo Switch vs Switch 2 saves

Nintendo’s product information says save data is not compatible between the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions. Treat these as separate save paths when choosing an edition. A demo save on one edition should not be assumed to load in the other.

Cross-platform transfer status

The official sources cited here do not confirm cross-platform save transfer between PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and PC. They also do not document cross-progression, account linking, or a transfer procedure. Until a platform-specific support page confirms otherwise, plan to continue on the same platform family.

Also, demo-to-full-game carry-over does not by itself mean that trophies, achievements, or platform entitlements transfer.
