Quick answer

Official material describes spells tied to race and class, plus universal magic from crafted spellbooks when attribute requirements are met. A developer explanation also distinguishes boss spellbooks; check the current build for exact spells and unlocks.

Confirmed spell categories

A developer explanation separates Dimraeth’s magic into race-and-class spells, universal attribute spells and boss spells. The Steam description independently confirms that race and class provide abilities while crafted spellbooks can grant universal magic.

Steam says a character can equip five spells at a time. A useful loadout therefore involves selection rather than collecting every spell on one active bar. Build around the current encounter and the attributes your character actually has.

Plan a spell loadout

  1. Identify which spells come from the current race-and-class Archetype.
  2. Check the attribute requirement before crafting or planning around a universal spellbook.
  3. Read the live cooldown, cost and effect for every candidate spell.
  4. Choose five spells with distinct jobs instead of copying an undated bar.
  5. Recheck the build after a spell or skill-tree balance patch.

Mage is officially associated with fire, ice and lightning, but elemental access does not establish a permanent best rotation or a complete enemy-weakness chart. Other class and race pairings should likewise be judged from their current live text.

Why spell lists need version labels

Mudtek’s patch notes have changed spell coefficients, cooldowns and related skill behavior. An older list can preserve the right name while giving the wrong value or requirement. This page therefore explains the stable categories without republishing demo tables as current facts.

See the spellbook guide for item handling and the skill-tree guide for Archetype progression.
